Clean water in Almardà

Route map

Stage 1: We want to find other neighbors who have a favorable opinion about selling the well to Aigües de Sagunt and when we have registered a good number of people (more than 100) we will move on to the next stage.

Stage 2: As members, we are going to request an extraordinary assembly to change the president of the Association and replace him with another person willing to renegotiate with the Sagunto City Council / Aigües de Sagunt, the sale of the well.

Stage 3: The new president will present the new agreement with Aigües de Sagunt and the City Council for a vote by the members. This presentation will include a representative from Aigües de Sagunt and the councilor acting as the water councilor. It is essential that the members have all the necessary information to make an informed decision. Naturally, we will respect the opinion of those members who prefer to continue operating our well as a Civil Society.

Stage 4: Assuming the vote in favor of selling the well prevails, the president of the Association will soon go to the Notary and the City Council to sign the agreement.

Twenty-four hours after the signing, Aigües de Sagunt will have its pipes connected to the old Aguas de Almardà network and will begin supplying drinking water (Aigües de Sagunt already has its pipe ready at the Aguas de Almardà well). This project will die instantly that day. What will we do next? There are always things to improve—'breakwaters for Almardà' or 'a seafront promenade for Almardà'—because, where there's a will, there's a way.

We shouldn't have to live like this, never knowing if we'll have water tomorrow. If you want to improve our quality of life, please register your support for our project below.
